The B.U.G. Program is designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades to an acceptable range, and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next. Each student that receives a B.U.G. award from Kiwanis succeeded in bringing up at least one of their grades during the past marking period.
We recognize these students twice a year (after the second nine-weeks and after the third nine-weeks). With the exception of Fruitland Park Elementary, they are presented with a Kiwanis Club of Lady Lake certificate, a B.U.G. pin, and ice cream at each award ceremony.
